The Harbor Advisory Committee and Harbor Department are holding a public forum at the American Legion in Manchester on Wednesday, Jan. 16 at 6:30 p.m. to discuss increased anchoring at Long Beach in Manchester harbor. Representatives from The Division of Marine Fisheries and Coastal Zone Management are expected to attend.

Over the course of the last seven boating seasons transient boating has increased tenfold at Long Beach in Manchester harbor. Many residents are expressing concern about safety and environmental impact associated with this increased activity.

This forum is to provide everyone who attends an opportunity to be heard on this topic. A second forum will be held to discuss recommendations. The input from both forums will help determine the best possible recommendations to the Selectmen and boating community.
